    Address: 1495 Chattahoochee Avenue
    Phone: 404.352.9009
    Homepage: http://www.nuevolaredocantina.com/
Info: Georgia native Chance Evans is arguably the most successful restaurateur in Atlanta. He hasn’t franchised nor expanded choosing instead to make sure his one restaurant remains unique and first-class. Evans developed his love of Mexico during his frequent travels there while employed with the Coca-Cola Company in the 1960s. He visits Mexico often to this day, a practice apparent by the restaurant’s flair and décor, a menagerie of items hand-picked during his visits. Chance Evans is a classic example of the cliché, “do what you love and the success will follow.”

Several years of increasing success brought such awards as "Best of Atlanta" from Atlanta Magazine for three consecutive years, "Best Restaurant in Cobb County" from Creative Loafing Magazine and one of the "Top 100" independent pizza restaurants in the United States from Pizza Today Magazine. The original NYPE expanded in 1991 to a facility that seats over two hundred people and a patio deck adjacent to the railroad tracks with live entertainment on Friday and Saturday.

Address: 1284 WEST PACES FERRY ROAD
    Phone: (404) 233-2888
    Fax: (404) 365-8843
    Homepage: http://www.okcafe.com
Info: The OK Cafe opened its doors July 8, 1987, and so great was the longing for a true southern restaurant that by the end of the first week it had become an Atlanta phenomenon with crowds standing in line to get in. Today it serves more customers than any other full service restaurant in Georgia. People come to the OK Cafe for the quality of the food and the sort of menu your grandmother would make for Sunday dinner, if you had a grandma who could cook that is. Mix in an uncle who was a short order cook at the best grill in town, and you've got the family recipes that make the OK Cafe so popular. Add to the family tree an aunt with a sense of fun who created an art-filled environment, and it's easy to see how this ongoing party, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, became the home-away-from-home for so many. Lauded by the likes of MONEY, FORBES, SOUTHERN LIVING, and LADIES HOME JOURNAL, to name just a few, the OK Cafe continues to hit the mark in southern hospitality and firmly represents why the south has risen again.

Restaurant Name: Old Ephraims Restaurant & Catering
    Address: 70 South Park Square
    Phone: 770-425-0073
    Homepage: http://oldephraims.com
    Info: The Old Ephraim's Story

In the early 1900s, the Cache National Forest was rich with animal life, especially the grizzly bear. One bear in particular had developed quite a legendary reputation for himself. It was the intelligence of Old Ephraim that set him apart. He was known for outsmarting shepherds and evading all the bear traps set for him. As a boy in Utah, Old Ephraim’s owner, Darin Jensen grew up with this story.

The newest addition to the Square feels like walking in to a log cabin. The beautiful southern wood interior was entirely built with the owner’s two hands with wood Jensen himself harvested from land that belonged to a developer who was planning on clear cutting, or burning the trees off the land. Jensen suggested a more appropriate way to clear the property which included salvaging the good lumber while not sending more carbon dioxide out to the ozone layer.

With more than 32 years experience in food service, Jensen also boasts an impressive family lineage in the business. Jensen’s grandfather served as executive chef at the famous Hollywood Brown Derby, the place to be seen in Hollywood’s golden era. Young Jensen learned the recipe for success from his entire family who made their life from the restaurant industry. While living in Alaska, Jensen picked up more tools of the trade, by spending a summer working on fishing boats, Jensen’s successful fishing ventures in Alaska have borne fruit for us in Marietta, the seafood served at the restaurant has been caught from his own fleet of Alaskan fishing boats.

After only placing now hiring signs in the window, Jensen received over 2000 applicants. The high unemployment rate might have worked in his favor producing a diverse well rounded staff, who specialize in a variety of fields, many of whom were laid off by other area businesses. Jensen is proud to share his years of knowledge with this hand selected group. In addition, the restaurant's walls feature work by local artists Norm Paschal, Jeffrey Skillings and even a depiction of Old Ephraim himself by painter Jeff Surace.

We welcome you to enjoy our soothing soups, super salads, southern spins on classic sandwiches, hearty burgers, tender ribs, Alaskan crab legs or any of our scrumptious menu selections. We are very proud of all our food and we are confident you will have a great time here.
