About Tin Lizzy's Taqueria and Cantina Southwest Dining:
The new Tin Lizzy's Taqueria and Cantina near Grant Park has friendly bartenders, premium tequilas and affordable "non-traditional southwest" eats are what this locally-established neighborhood restaurant and bar is best known for. The second location just opened (January 2009) in Grant Park in the old Six Feet Under space. The bar’s signature drinks include the Tin Lizzy’s $4 Signature Margarita and the “Dizzy Lizzy.” The bar features 30 different premium tequilas, including Jose Cuervo, Herradura, Patron and Don Julio, so be careful which friends (ahem, the shot pushers) you invite along. Tin Lizzy's makes their guacamole from scratch all day and serves up tasty fried fish and buffalo chicken tacos. This casual spot sits across from Oakland Cemetery and will boast arguably the best patio in the city once the weather warms up. They serve food until 11pm nightly and they keep the doors open until midnight on Sunday... in case you feel like having a "sneaky" one.
